Después de mucho tiempo publicando demos y de estar siempre en constancia,puliendo lo que seria más tarde  Altars of Madness,publicado en 1989.Un trabajo solido,agresivo,oscuro,bien estructurado por el guitarrista Trey Azagthot,todo un arquitecto del death metal.Creando un estilo  que luego serviria de guia para las siguientes generaciones.Sin duda es el trabajo  mas devastador con influencias thrash,yo lo veo como un hibrido de Beneath The Remains (Sepultura) y Reign in Blood (Slayer).En sus siguientes trabajos ya iran moldeando su propio estilo,aprovechando sus atmósferas,incluyendo los teclados....incluyen uno de los mejores temas del género "Chapel of Ghouls","Maze of Torment",la pegadiza "Damnation" o el primer tema "Inmmortal Rites".De principio a fin te vuela la cabeza.

Duodécimo álbum de Tankard.Como siempre esto es buen Thash Metal puro y efectivo.La portada es muy divertida y la producción general del Cd es muy buena.El sonido del bajo es sorprendente,como es el trabajo de la guitarra más satisdactorio proporcionada por Andy.Toca alguno de sus mejores riffs,la introducción de "Ice-olation" da fe de la profundidad de su forma de tocar.Es básico,pegadizo y bien hecho por lo que si te gusta el thrash y no quiere algo serio,ir a por éste.
